Recently, I had a problem with my iMac after installing the latest MacOS (Ventura). I searched Google for companies in the UAE to retrieve my data. After reading the “good” reviews on Lifeguard company, I decided to ask them for help. Yes, they did retrieve my old data, although they charged a lot. But I did not mind because I needed the data. The real price I paid was that the technician pretended to fix the iMac, replaced the HDD with SSD hard drive, and glued the computer back. Some of the problems that happened later: 1. Wi Fi did not work anymore 2. Problem with the internal microphone, so I cannot now use MS Teams or Zoom or any other meeting programs for any virtual meeting 3. Wireless keyboard was not connecting 4. Problem with the internal clock 5. Many permanent scratches on the computer I called the company and they did nothing but give me excuses. They did not even take the responsibility or offer to fix it freely or to ship the computer to Dubai at their expense. I’m giving a low rate because although Lifeguard company retrieved my data but destroyed my iMac (worth 13,000 AED) and now I have to buy a new computer. They could have simply asked me to give my desktop an another company to fix it instead of getting greedy and pretending they could fix the iMac. I recommend finding another company.
